Greetings Tribe! My name is Celia and I am the owner and Creatress behind Love, Earth Apothecary! I am a latina, mother, herbalist, and fresh cut flower enthusiast.
I am currently living in the wonderland that is the Pacific Northwest, but I am originally a native of New Mexico. The PNW has an abundance of plants, flowers, and trees for me to commune with for my apothecary, and in ritual. So many medicines can and do grow here, and the land is lush with life. Not to mention ALL the flowers!
I started this journey over ten years ago, healing my own imbalances, skin issues, and mental health using plants and goods from the Earth. After years of poor diet, over the counter pharmaceuticals and toxic bodycare products, I was led to plant medicine. I started making my own skincare products, working with plant medicine internally, shifted my thinking and diet! I nurttured my own health and baby through pregnancy and birth using the plants as well.
Making medicine with plants is empowering. Learning about herbal medicine in this modern society is a rebellious act. It is a form of activism. Taking ownership over one’s health is vitally important to changing the way we approach health care in our modern society. Becoming knowledgable about plant medicine is just one way that we can reclaim some of our personal power and simultaneously help our communities to heal themselves from the inside out. Wild food and medicine are literally everywhere around us if only we educate ourselves and take the time to look! The plants want our attention, and they’ve got mine. My wish is that humanity can revive, remember, and spread the knowledge and love of the Earth Mother.
As for the one-woman show behind-the-scenes, my products flow from my studies of wise woman herbalism, practical need for my own life, ancient remedies, and my career as a mental health therapist and Earth activist. Everything is made from the land with love by MY two hands! Quality is of the highest priority when it comes to each and every offering, and will always be! This work is my passion and you can taste and feel the difference in these carefully crafted products. Soil to soul.
